In today’s series of 2018 12 South Home Tour Hosts, we’d like to introduce Bryan and Jessica Edwards: proud homeowners of 921 Waldkirch. Their home, custom built for the couple by William Smallman, boasts high ceilings, an open floor plan, chefs kitchen, and a very chic pool with an equally chic brick patio space for entertaining. Natural light streams through its grand windows making an already soothing home that much more effervescent.
The couple is warm, organized, and passionate about 12 South and their home mirrors just that. Having lived in the neighborhood for the past seven years, rather than purchasing something to meet their growing family’s needs, they decided to customize and build with the guidance of William Smallman, a builder and 12 South native himself. Both Bryan and Jessica work from home—he a singer-songwriter, and she with Rodan and Fields—and the home affords plenty of space to cater to their work needs, as well as balancing entertaining and personal spaces.
When you pop by to meet this very lovely couple, be sure to take a moment to enjoy the beauty of their new pool and the effortless flow of a house that’s perfect for entertaining. When you make your way upstairs, don’t miss their oasis of a master bedroom, with walk-in closets that will leave you swooning (and slightly enviable)! The house is quite the retreat.
