The 12 South Neighborhood Association is sponsoring tree planting events in 12 South! Our goal is to start putting trees in place now that will have a positive effect on the neighborhood’s overall canopy in years to come with more mature trees. If you’d like to volunteer to help, donate funds or have trees planted in your yard, fill out the form below. Our next event is scheduled for April 1, 2017!

Get a Tree in Your Yard
Please fill out the form above if you live in 12South, have a front yard with little or no trees and are interested in having a free tree planted in your front yard. We will check out each house and in the event that we have more requests than trees, those yards deemed most in need will receive a free tree.
As a resident of the 12 South neighborhood, your (subsidized) cost
will be $35. This includes tree, installation of tree, 15-gallon
watering bag, and root supplement.
Volunteering
Please sign up (above) to volunteer for the Fall Tree Planting Initiative on Saturday. We will meet at the Sevier Park playground parking lot at 9am and go from there. Lunch will be provided! We need volunteers to help get trees planted for our neighbors in front yards that have lost all their trees over the years due to mother nature or development. Our goal is to start putting trees in place now that will have a positive effect on the neighborhood’s overall canopy in years to come with more mature trees. We will be renting an auger to make the digging work very easy and we will rent a u-haul truck to deliver the trees to each house, so this should go quickly. We need volunteers to get the trees in the holes and fill in the dirt around them.
Donate
We are planting good sized trees (not saplings), and they are not cheap. Any donation you make will help us plant more trees in 12 South!
