In today’s Sneak Peek of the 15th Annual 12 South Home Tour, please meet the Homeowners of 2300 Elliott: Chris and Meitra Aycock. Once referred to as Elliott Park, 2300 Elliott was built in 1875 and believed to be the oldest home in Waverly Place. In its lifetime, this estate in the city, has only had four homeowners! The first being Dr. John White, who built the home as one of the original developers of Waverly Place.
Meitra and Chris were living in 12 South when Meitra spotted Elliott Park on the market just over a year ago, during one of her routine morning walks. She rushed home to convince her husband of 30 years that they must move! It was true love. The couple has been in the house for almost a year and have improved and built upon the authentic character that comes with an historic home: renovations to the kitchen, added built-ins to the music room, and converted a fifth bedroom into a stately dressing room. The large lot allowed for a decent sized garage that matches the aesthetics of the original homes exterior.
Elliott Park is not your average house. It’s an historical experience. We cannot wait for you to experience it and to meet the Aycocks!
